David Elkins is a highly creative and accomplished cinematographer, still photographer and editor based

in the San Francisco Bay Area. WIth credits on numerous documentary, network, narrative, commercial and corporate productions, his clients cover a broad spectrum. In addition, David is an accomplished visual storyteller having produced and directed several short documentaries that have screened at numerous festivals around the U.S.

David's keen sense of the moment, composition and lighting developed from his years as a staff and freelance photojournalist. Having worked with much of the latest technology in film and video production, David is skilled with a variety of cameras and techniques that enable him to capture the essence of each story in a compelling visual style. He brings a thoughtful, cinematic and journalistic approach to every project enabling him to understand his client's needs and ensuring that the finished product meets the organization's vision and objectives.

David transitioned from the still to the moving image while in graduate school at the University of Texas at Austin and feels equally at home working in both mediums.
